Frequently Asked Questions

  • Online Booking a table is easy and takes just a couple of minutes.
  • Reservation lines are open Tuesday to Sunday 10am until 7pm.
  • A deposit payment may be required to secure your booking. 
  • Please, contact the restaurant on 01279 653 635 or email us if you experience any issues booking online.
  • For private events or groups of 10 or more – please, call us directly on 01279 653 635 for more information. Tables of 15 or more guest will be asked to pre-order from special set menu.

  • Skew Restaurant requires a credit card details to secure this reservation. All credit cards information will be processed securely.

  • Our cancellation policy is 24 hours notice, except special days (Mother day, Valentine day, Christmas day, New Year eve, Bank holidays etc). No shows and late cancellations will be charged £20 per person.

  • All children are welcome to Skew Restaurant, Children under 12 are not allowed walked around in the restaurant and need to be accorded with the parents. Friday and Saturday children under 12 must leave the Restaurant due to license conditions before 9 PM.

  • We have a smart dress code at Skew. No trainers, no flip flops, no sportswear, no baseball cups. In the summer months, smart tailored shorts are allowed until 8pm.
  • Skew Restaurant is open Monday to Sunday for lunch and dinner. 
  • The Terrace is open during summer months (weather permitting).
  • Upstairs Cocktail Bar is open every Friday and Saturday from 6pm until 12.30am.

For restaurant bookings we always advise on making advanced reservations as we can be busy, particularly at weekends. Fridays and Saturdays, the bar is available to guests with restaurant table reservations only.

If you wish to visit the bar, please contact the restaurant in advance. 

Families with children are welcome throughout the week for lunch and dinner. Please note, our Cocktail Bar on the first floor is strictly over 18.

  • Skew Restaurant and Cocktail Bar is located in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford.
  • The restaurant is served by local public transport with the bus stop just opposite alternatively if you’re travelling by car there is multi-storey car park across the street – Jackson Square Shopping Centre. The car park operates Pay & Display system and is free after 6.30pm or on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • To find the car park, please enter CM23 3XQ into your SATNAV.
