Frequently Asked Questions
- Online Booking a table is easy and takes just a couple of minutes.
- Reservation lines are open Monday to Sunday 10am until 7pm.
- A deposit payment may be required to secure your booking.
- Please, contact the restaurant on 01279 653 635 or email us if you experience any issues booking online.
- For private events or groups of 10 or more – please, call us directly on 01279 653 635 for more information. Tables of 15 or more guest will be asked to pre-order from special set menu.
- For tables of ten or more guests, a deposit payment of £10 per person will be required at the time of booking to secure the reservation.
- The deposit will be deducted from the final bill on the day.
- If you need to make changes to your reservation, please contact the restaurant directly at least 24-hrs prior to your booking.
- Please note, if you don’t cancel your table before 24 hours arrival your deposit will not be refundable.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the deposit can be transferred to a different date at Restaurant Management’s discretion however we would require at least 24-hrs notice.
- We have a smart dress code at Skew. No trainers, no flip flops, no sportswear, no baseball cups. In the summer months, smart tailored shorts are allowed until 8pm.
- Skew Restaurant is open Monday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.
- The Terrace is open during summer months (weather permitting).
- Upstairs Cocktail Bar is open every Friday and Saturday from 6pm until 12.30am.
For restaurant bookings we always advise on making advanced reservations as we can be busy, particularly at weekends. Fridays and Saturdays, the bar is available to guests with restaurant table reservations only.
If you wish to visit the bar, please contact the restaurant in advance.
Families with children are welcome throughout the week for lunch and dinner. Please note, our Cocktail Bar on the first floor is strictly over 18.
- Skew Restaurant and Cocktail Bar is located in the heart of Bishop’s Stortford.
- The restaurant is served by local public transport with the bus stop just opposite alternatively if you’re travelling by car there is multi-storey car park across the street – Jackson Square Shopping Centre. The car park operates Pay & Display system and is free after 6.30pm or on Sundays and Bank Holidays
